Salomon Fast Wing Hoodie
This lightweight windproof jacket which has been designed for runners as both a training or race jacket. Looking at the Fast Wing you may be forgiven for thinking that it is like many other lightweight windshirts but when you scratch below the surface and look at the features you come to appreciate that attention to detail Salomon have gone to in their design.
I have been somewhat ambiguous in the last paragraph in terming the Fast Wing as both a training and race jacket, at approximately 130g it is most certainly lightweight but it is some 60g heavier than Salomon’s S-Lab Light Wind Jacket which is why I think more competitive runners will use the Fast Wing for training as opposed to racing, whereas “fun racers” will prefer to invest in the Fast Wing Hoodie as a training and race jacket.
The video below is my first attempt at standing in front of a camera hence the rabbit and headlights expression (so apologies) but it shows the features such as the chest clip and media pouch in the pocket much more clearly than I could describe in words. I think that the features will aid your running experience and I believe that Salomon’s thinking allows you to focus on your run rather than on your equipment.
